Interactive Display

-NEXT Conference Berlin-

Sinner Shraders NEXT Conference in Berlin utilized uma SKIN as interactive display to enhance the conference, communicate the program, news and exhibtors and integrate social media into the show floor. The uma SKIN installation delivered real-time information, contextualized automatically from various web repositories and aggregated with social media to enhance the value of the information.

Thus the system not only functioned as an interactive multitouch information board for the NEXT conference, but also as an innovative access board for further engagement of the visitors. Much as at ToyFair, the largest toy trade show in the Western Hemisphere, SKIN provided an interactive display to access all things at the fair, while further engaging visitors and exhibitors and creating stronger connections to all users.

Furthermore, the editorial effort for NEXTs organizers is minimized substantially, through SKINs semantic content curation engine, which is able to retrieve and contextualize information automatically from various input sources, such as content repositories or the Web and present it in an attractive way on the interactive display. The included person tracking technology allowed the installation to communicate actively with passive users and attracted them to engage with the system.

As for other events of its kind SKIN became the eye-catcher of the conference by merging information and entertainment into one interactive display. SKIN® by uma allowed NEXT to connect to the visitors, as well as offered partners a way to be featured prominently on the trade show display. It opened up new communication and advertising channels, provided innovative services and engaged users into a unique interactive and playful experience.
